Photos. More. More.

To bastardise a phrase from MIB.

Anyway, I have put about 4 more photos on 'summer term' of things that didn't happen in summer term.  Well, actually two of them did, but not to me.  Of these, one is of Portugal and one is of my friend Anton on holiday which I stole from his website.  Naughty.  After stealing this, I could not stop my criminal spree and took some more from him.  These were taken in January 2005 and are of his legendary 23rd birthday party, which I, being at the cutting edge of the Salford scene, was, of course, at.  You will know when you have reached these photos because my hair is different.  If you don't really notice things like haircuts, you will know you have reached these photos because they will say Anton's party, or something to that effect.

Word.

PS. Watching T In The Park on the telly.  Geesh, Primal Scream and Hard-Fi are good.  I mean, really good.

PS 2.  In October, my friend Danny from Michigan who I met in Copenhagen and is very cool indeed may be coming to our shores with his band Anathallo.  I think you should come watch them; they are very good.  I have their album so I should know.  A picture of him is below.  Although he doesn't have the moustache anymore.

PS 3.  And now, here are Gomez and the eels.  Whippin Piccadilly makes me proud to be from here and even prouder to know John N who knows the sister of one of the band...I mean, how rock is that??!  The eels....genius.  I love them.  Forever.  I was reading an interview with Richard Ashcroft the other day who said the thing he loves most about The Verve is that their songs will stay with our generation forever.  I couldn't agree more.  That whole period with bands like them and eels and pulp and everyone was so damn good.  And now everyone is a copy of a copy of a copy with a silly haircut.  Actually, not everyone.  But a few. Which is irksome.

Photos

Hello you lovely people you,

Welcome to the next installment of the photos.  These are of summer term, with highlights including Take That, Josh Ritter, Alan Fletcher, Seth Lakeman, Matt Willis (I've been going to lots of gigs...) and Harriet's birthday, the MA social, Windermere, history football club and random Lancaster frivolity.

I look good on about two of them which is a shame as the people I am mostly surrounded by are very hot.  However, you can always photoshop me out or something...haha.

Obviously, I must include a warning that one glance at Josh Ritter, Seth Lakeman or Matt Willis (depending on your taste) may send you into orgasmic-like convultions.  But it's all good, I'm sure.

Be good.  See you soon kids.

Lots of love,

Laura, amateur photographer extraordinaire (hmmmmm......)

PS If you are not on these photos, I have probably directed you to the page because I thought you might like to see some of the snaps like Take That and stuff but I really won't be offended if you don't look at them:)

MYT

I am watching Rossy interviewing Dominic Monaghan.  It's kind of cool that he's from the Motherland, a Manchester United fan, and he is, like my goodself, an alumnus of Manchester Youth Theatre, but I wish they'd stop harping on about Lost.  Rachel would say this is another irrational hatred of mine but I have just realised that, seriously, it makes my blood boil like McDonalds makes my blood boil and Sean Connery and Michael Caine make my blood boil.  That one who's meant to be hot is about as hot as Antarctica (pre melting of ice caps).  It doesn't rock as much as Six Feet Under.  It's not even 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times as good as Six Feet Under.  And, good gosh, now he's mentioned The Beatles.  I think I might be sick.  On the spot.  And now LOTR.  Oh do shut up.

WOOHOO!

Matt Willis is number seven.  Matt Willis is number seven.  Matt Willis is number seven.  He's the highest new entry this week.  Everyone else must bow down to his greatness.  BOW DOWN.  BOW DOWN.

I can't upload his photo cos of blocks and rubbish but you can see the deity himself by going to the above link.  Or www.mattwillis.net or probably some Matt Willis porn site on the net.  BOW DOWN.  Willisness is Godliness.

Back once again (with the renegade master)

Yo,

I am coming back to the hood....actually, Lancaster.....tomorrow until the 12th with the exception of Sat 6th afternoon and Sun 7th cos I'm in Manchester then.

I would LOVE to go and see Confetti this Friday if anyone is up for it because, despite one of those British comedies that you wonder if it will really be funny, and despite having Carr in it, has been improvised (tick box) and features Robert Webb....NAKED.  I must see it!

I cannot wait till the following are released:

1) Up All Night (and, yes, Matt Willis, you have my permission to keep me that whenever you please)

2) Never Went To Church (cos it's the law to love Mike Skinner and everything he does)

I am guessing I will be in the same room as before so my internal number will be: 53510.

Call me.......it would be nice to meet and chat and drink sugary tea and go out and party and watch TV.

Over and out.

Hay-lo

Ah, back in Manchester after a lovely and wonderous time in Lancaster.

Had a great night on Saturday at the Sugarhouse (except a rather unfortunate fire alarm which forced us into the cold for ten minutes).  Can't wait to come back again:)

Doing nothing except tidying my room and messing about today.  I have a short term temp job starting tomorrow so I am taking the time to relax before that.

Am changing my phone network to O2 v soon so if anyone is on that, I guess it will be cheaper to call.  I really couldn't spend another minute giving all my money to Orange (so expensive).

Coming to Lancaster on Sat for Roses but have to be in Manchester on Sun to watch MUFC.  However, if anyone is around, let me know.  I might even go on Friday evening....maybe the hist girls could go for a quick beverage?

See you soon.
April 28

You know that I would love to see you next year

Can't get darn Maximo Park out of my head.  It's been there all day, right the way through social history presentations (which were all marvellous people) and right through searching the net for pictures of Richard Sharpe and Physics GCSE formulae triangles......I can't be bothered to explain.....

Am going to see Carly F tonight for Blackpool based fun.  We might stay in and watch Depp's starring turn in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory....or we might go to Jenks, the fabled Blackpool indie dive to which I have never been....SHOCK HORROR!  (Call myself old skool indie.....LIES!)

Tomorrow, we come back to Lancaster courtesy of Indiana Ruby II, watch United play Chelsea (Oh dear God, please win.....), get ready, collect the lovely Sarah Isherwood of Lancaster University and Copenhagen History fame, journey to Walkabout via A-B taxis (with purple card discount...!), voyage on to the house of Marcus, drink, possibly soiree outside the Waterwitch for a bit of Tequila Rose......then go to the Sugarhouse for what will hopefully be a most wonderful night filled with good company, dancing, good chat and looking at unsuitable boys.  As always, the Kodak disposable will be coming out with me so I'll put some pics on when I've finished the film.

Have good weekends and relaxing Bank Holiday Mondays....WOOT!
